Our path in the music industry started in 2012 inside Mexico City’s fastly growing indie scene. Through our label Indiealliance, we supported emerging artists by releasing their albums on vinyl, taking care of their digital distribution and looking for opportunities in other areas. After our success placing their music in US commercials, our label evolved into IAMUSIC, a licensing agency focused on providing indie music for audiovisual projects. In the following years, we signed more than 200 Latin American artists and licensed their music to McDonald’s, Honda, Target, Samsung, Domino’s Pizza, Telcel, Cinemex and T-Mobile, among many other brands interested in indie artist collaborations both in the US and Mexico.
Our work in advertising opened the doors to film and television projects as we offered them our artists music, helped them solve music right problems and eventually came up with the full music supervision service they required. Today, music supervision for film and television is our main focus, where we can take care of all the musical processes behind a production, all the way from choosing songs for a script to drafting the cue sheets for final delivery.
We have music supervision credits in internationally recognized productions including Silver Bear winning feature film La región salvaje by Amat Escalante, Full Frame awarded documentary Titixe by Tania Hernández and James Beard Award prized Netflix series Las crónicas del taco.
In 2020 we embraced a new era and teamed up with our post-production studio ally Estudio Mono in order to consolidate our efforts, renovate our image and become Música Mono. Together, we are currently working on new exciting film projects, complementing our daily activities with advertising and post-production deliveries, while always keeping an ear out for what brought us here in the first place: discovering new music.
